Squud

Infinitas infinitio opus

aluminum

Species description, habitat, and behavior

The Squud (Infinitas infinitio opus) is a marine and freshwater squid whose limbs resemble an ironworker's spud wrenches. It is known to devour unsuspecting human beings and force them into lives of unrelenting competition and heavy physical labor.

The Squud is in the family Capitalistusemploydementia and closely related to the slower but no less deadly Squorment (Infinitas infinitio torqueo) and the intricately complicated but meaningless Squidious (Extrarius taedium).

Unlike most squid species, these vicious predators are able to travel throughout human physical, social, and cultural systems. They disguise themselves as ambition, wealth, and power, delivering a bite that creates delusions of faith and trust in complex, oppressive systems of social, cultural, political, and economic production.

After years of laboring in such systems, the victims generally die alone, unknown, and unfulfilled. After death, friends, relatives, and representatives of the state often bury the victims in graves marked only by meaningless stones or metal plaques.
